The Mark 44 torpedo, is an acoustic torpedo, designed to home in on the sounds that a submarine makes. The Mark 44 could be used off of a ship or dropped from an aircraft, such as the Tracker or SeaKing.

The Museum’s torpedo is a practice loading round with no fuel or guidance unit in it.
